I think you may have misunderstood. In the fragment you quote from me,
the referent of "it" was the grammatical subject of the sentence,
"This", and _its_ referent was the subject of the preceding sentence,
"Pavia's church of St. Agnes, later renamed in [Theodore's] honor"
(i.e., Pavia's Basilica di San Teodoro). It was the latter, and not the
style of which it is a monumental specimen, that I had difficulty
finding good views of on the free Web (though, as you know from my
follow-up message "Re: saints of the day 20. May", I had been
overlooking the pertinent page at the Italia nell'Arte Medievale site).
Specimens of Lombard "romanesque" may be found on the free Web without
difficulty.
