medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
I would like to volunteer to take on the "Saints of the Day" list for next
year. I should warn you upfront - I have no academic degree. I'm just an
armchair scholar who has been happily reading this List, and a few others,
for years without ever being able to really give back to the people who have
so brightened my days.
I've been compiling a file-list of the various posts about the saints for a
few months now by working my way through the archives. It has been an
interesting task*. When John announced that he was ending his stint at the
daily posts, I thought of my little (or rather, large) file and wondered if
it would be useful to the general readership.
If the goal of the daily post is to generate discussion then I think it
would be safe to let this hobbyist try her hand. If you don't mind.
Certainly, if someone in the field would like to do it, I understand that
their offer would be preferable.

her entries.
