medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
From: Al Magary <[log in to unmask]>
> Isn't the net quick these days? Another night owl alerts me that the
CAMENA (Corpus Automatum Multiplex Electorum Neolatinitatis Auctorum)
project at the University of Mannheim has just put up the 1710 ed. of
DuCange Glossarium in nice color facsimiles.
http://www.uni-mannheim.de/mateo/camenaref/ducange.html
massive though that one title is, it seems to be only a small part of the
whole "MATEO" (= MAnnheimer TExte Online) project
http://www.uni-mannheim.de/mateo/
with scores of neo-latin authors already scanned in
http://www.uni-mannheim.de/mateo/camenahtdocs/camenaref.html
and the complete first ed. of the Cambridge Modren History.
it looks like they're putting up a new title every week or so
http://www.uni-mannheim.de/mateo/camenahtdocs/neues.html
pretty amazing.
maybe, when they run out of Neo-Latinists, they'll start in on the Good
Stuff.
