The British Council, Great Britain's international cultural organisation,
will be holding an international conference on European Information Society
issues in Bucharest / Romania on 14 and 15 October 2004. This event is the
fourth in the series of conferences "Towards an Information Society for All
(TISA)".
The special focus of TISA4 will be "Better lives, better communities". It
will mainly be looking at sustainable and replicable community projects
that helped to improve citizens' quality of life by using information and
communication tools. Previous events have been held in Paris, Bologna and
