MIDDLE MANAGEMENT SKILLS

A two-day practical workshop for those with some experience of management, covering the main areas of management in the context of library and information work, with emphasis on directing and influencing the work of others.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Participants need at least four years of post-qualification experience and to be in job which includes the management of other people's work. It would be helpful if you have attended the Introduction to Management skills workshop, or have participated in a short course that covered some of the basics of management skills.

Sheila is a consultant in the behavioural sciences applied to work. A chartered librarian, she works in the public and private sectors in the UK and overseas, specialising in the development of management skills.
