Dear geo-tectonic members
I have an unusual request for the members of this list i.e. to name the
following unusual fold structure.
The pattern depicted by the marker band at regional sacle is shown in the
attached picture (gangpur-fold.bmp). This is a refolded fold that plunges
eastward. The younging direction is shown at limbs and hinges of the
folds. Can anyone please draw my attention to a similar structure or
equivalent structure? I also request members to suggest a suitable name
for the structure. particularly we will appreciate the name of a
particular object that shows a natural pattern similar to this one. We
will acknowledge the source in our forthcoming publication which is nearly
ready for communication.
Any questions or suggestions are most welcome.
Thanks in advance.
Best wishes and regards
Manas
