That's exactly it! I think you have incorrect hostname settings in your
*short[long].q. The localhost is not valid. You get the correct hostname
simply by typing hostname on your commandline. it should be
macosx-166.something. something....
I am not sure if I formulate it correctly, but SGE can not be configured with
localhost hostname. It needs a unique hostname. Imagine you have N computers
in your network clustered together. All of them can be called localhost, but
then sge would not know on which of them to execute or schedule the job. So
run again qconf -mq long.q and change your hostname to the valid name.
BTW, I also changed the shell setting in my queues from csh to sh
(/bin/csh -> /bin/sh). I am not completely sure if it is so, but assume if
fsl scripts are written in bash if they would work with csh setting.
