Hi Bob!!!!
Just to say hello after so many years. I've been living in France most of the time since I left full-time teaching at Adelphi. I do come back from time to time to spend a few months in NY, since my immediate family is here (and one daughter in Vermont)., but I 'm blessed with an extended "family" (five generations of friendship via my Dad who was in business with a French woman between the two world wars.
Paris is the movie capital of the world..... beginning at 10 AM till late at night, the movie screens buzz with films from all over the world as well as cinema clubs,,,,etc. (Yes, such things do still exist!!!!)
....
I still have fond recollections of you and your very effective teaching stint with us and its clear that you are still very much the active scholar/professor.
If by chance you may be traveling to France, do give me a buzz. My friends insist that I live in "the artistic and intellectual center" of the city the 5th arrondissement. It's a very colorful area; filled with universiies, stkudents & profs as well as an abundance of bookstores, great cafes....etc. Also, two fabullous markets with cheeses, fresh produce as well as what I could only describe as flea market stuff!!
So keep this on file
Paris Address: 16 rue rollin, 75005, France
line phone: from the US (011-33314-329-9012)
cel (011-336-0830-93-97)
Wamest regards,
Helen Stritzler
