Many vendors do include a 'known issues' section of their
release notes.
Going too far beyond that (i.e., a publicly searchable
database of bug reports) raises the problem of users
who need to keep their practices secret.
I agree that unbounded amounts of time may be spent
producing a tight case when starting with a large application.
Doing so may be unjustified when a workaround is known.
