The thing I enjoy most about Samizdat is the amount of new information
packed in its pages. In the current issue the mixture and range is also
pertinent. Billy Mill's brief synopsis of Irish poets & presses is
information one is not going to see in the US, let alone mixed with an
obituary for one of America's finest poets Ed Dorn, an excellent love
poem by David Kennedy(UK), or a review of Tod Thilleman's (excellent)_A
world of nothing but nations_. The scope is of the world, with Masha
Zavialova covering Pushkins b-day as well. The last issue was extremely
focused on Finnish poets, but I've enjoyed the larger diversity of this
issue & news not found elsewhere.
Be well
David Baratier
