Hi Kate,
I believe that SoftChalk is compatible with Mac as well as Windows
clients (http://www.softchalk.com/editor.html), but am not aware of
any local testing of its functionality. I had heard some not
altogether supportive comments about the previous version (for
Bb5.5).
And yes, you are right in taht Bb have announced a WYSIWYG editor in
6.1. Again, not exactly sure of the details about what it is built on,
but it is there.

Has anyone had any experience with using in-browser, wysiwyg html
editors
in Blackboard? If so, any recommendations on products? I'm having a
lot
of difficulty finding a product that offers similar functionality on
both
Mac and PC OSs.
Also, has anyone heard anything on the rumour that 6.1 will come with
a
native html editor, and that it might be AOI's wysiwyg editor?
Thanks,
Kate
