Oh dear. When I sent that message from Alta Vista I have hoped to do so
anonymously. Why? Because we are writing an article for June SPA and we told
when writing our last article "Where Goes Public Understanding" to:
Make [your article] sympathetic as I would hate it if we had to invoke
"editorial control." (Not by Alun Roberts but another British Association
staff member).
But then Alta Vista kindly added my real name and destroyed my hoped for
anonymity. Serves me right. I should have been honest in the first place.
Apologies for my foolishness and trying to disguise myself on such an
important issue (I've actually turned red with embarrassment!)
If you don't see our article on gender issues in the June SPA, you know the
worse has happened ...
Meanwhile, back to bashing the stats
Andy Boddington in need of a session in the public understanding bunker
