You have that one right, Otfried. And we don't need the help of my older
(OOOPSS! Almost said `big sister'; I think that's what computer types
call `a fatal error') As I wrote, we do not need the expertise of my
older sister, Mary, the Marketing Marvel, complete with MBA, to see that.
Obviously they did some research; just as obviously, they did not do
enough research. Situations such as we endure tonight concerning a vendor
not understanding *Where* his market lies are often used to introduce
business school students to the whole idea of marketing. I fear when yet
another wave of marketing texts roles across the land, you and I and all
the rest of us who would have profitted from a better definition of the
"target market" will belatedly get our anonymous due.
