Dear list;
I am authoring a textbook on Evidence-Based Aquatic Therapy. As part of the
first chapter, I am providing operational definitions of terms which relate
to practice in the water.
There are three terms which I have not found operational definitions. I am
unable to find the definitive source (authority) from whom to accept an
operational definition. I would accept a medical dictionary or encyclopedia
definition in the absence of a definition from the founder/creator.
The terms are:
1. Progressive resistive exercise
2. Sensory integration
3. Neurodevelopmental technique
I need a 3-7 sentence operational definition of these techniques from a
noted authority (or the founder/creator of the technique). Any suggestions
on how to track down the best sources online?

Example of operational definition:
Task-Type Training
A form of active work and activites-of-daily-living (ADL) training modelled
after the principles of work simulation. The patient or client is positioned
in a functional task position and is verbally, visually and/or tactilely
instructed to simulate tasks which are currently poorly executed or
unachievable on land. The tasks may be performed actively or with assistance
or resistance provided by aquatic equipment or the practitioner. Task-Type
Training may be provided in either a hands-on or hands-off manner by the
provider. Task-Type Training attempts to facilitate improvement in the
body's neurologic and musculoskeletal systems.
