We have some stand-alone PCs with Office software on for hire to public.
Our IT staff are expressing concern (to put it mildly!) that we want the
public to be able to bring in disks as they could bring in a "bootable" disk
and use it to boot up the PC from the floppy disk drive and basically wreak
havoc. We have anti-virus and security software but as these work from the
C drive, they could be by-passed by someone who knows what they're doing.
Has anyone encountered such problems, and if so have you found a way round
it?
