This query is only marginally relevant to the subject of
this list, but I am hoping that some of the list's learned
members may have some suggestions (perhaps concerning more
appropriate lists.)
Is there evidence for translation of Latin grammatical texts -
Priscian, Donatus, etc. - into any vernaculars other than
Icelandic in the Middle Ages?
If so, are the examples used to illustrate the various figures
of speech (etc.) taken from Latin or from the vernacular
in question?
Thanks
