Call for Papers
Kalamazoo 2000
After a six-year hiatus, Peregrina Publishing Company will be
sponsoring several sessions at the 35th International Congress on
Mediæval Studies at Kalamazoo in May 2000: three on the Enclosed
Garden in art, literature and the biblical tradition and one on the
Holy Women of Liège:
1) The Enclosed Garden (the Hortus Conclusus): Image and Symbol in
Medieval and Renaissance Art
2) The Enclosed Garden (the Hortus Conclusus): Image and Symbol in
Medieval Medieval Spiritual Texts
3) The Enclosed Garden (the Hortus Conclusus) in Medieval
Commentaries on the Song of Songs
4) The Holy Mothers of Liège and their Biographers: Saintly Subjects
in the 13th Century
We encourage those interested in the session entitled to submit their
abstracts before September 15 1999.
