One might add another superb article by Doctor Jansen:
Mary Magdalen and the mendicants: The Preaching of penance in the late
Middle Ages. Journal of Medieval History 21 (1995).
Furthermore there is the classical book by Per Victor Saxer:
Le culte de Marie-Madeleine en occident dès origines à la fin du Moyen-âge.
Auxerre-Paris 1959.
All you people who frequent Vatican Library should know per Saxer, he is
the elder priest who always has the key number one! Leaving aside jokes,
per Saxer's book is still the standard work on Mary Magdalene's cult.
