I hesitate to ask but... last night I was phoned by the parent of an 18/12 who
had fallen down carpeted stairs. No LOC, happy , stopped crying soon after.
They were worried re the head injury. "How soon can we stop worrying doctor?"
So..
Is the problem common - yes
Is the problem serious - yes
Is there likely to be an answer - well I would think so
In an 18/12 old with MHI -
at what time interval post injury
does complication rate become zero
Medline was difficult, Cochrane did not help.
a. does anyone know the answer.. am i missing something barn door in my text
book - my all too familiar Bart Simpson "Doh!" problem
b. does anyone know anyone answering the question
c. is anyone going to answer the question
I said after 3 hours very unlikely - but that was becasue it was 9pm
