For the colour of wedding dresses refer to
Berward Dencke, Hochzeit (=Bibliothek des Germanischen
Nationalmuseums Nürnberg zur deutschen Kunst- und
Kulturgeschichte, ed. Ludwig Grote, Vol. 31), Munich 1971, p. 81ff.
Here you can find the following on the colour of wedding dresses:
Wedding of Bianca Maria Sforza with Emperor Maximilian 1494 in
Insbruck: She wore a red dress.
Wedding of Princess Renata of Lorraine 1568 in Munich: Dress in
blue with additions in silver and gold.
The marshall Liegnitz, Hans von Schweinichen, bought for himself
and his bride in 1581 green garments.
In the 16th century a lady from Augsburg marrying into a patrician
family of Frankfurt had bought three different materials for her
wedding dress: flesh colour, gold and black, but she did not know
the local habits and waited therefore for instruction if she should
wear red or black for the wedding ceremony.
Only white is not referred to at all for wedding dresses in the 15th
and 16th centuries.
Dark colours seem to have been very common from 1600 on in
most of Europe due to the habits of the Spanish court which were
taken over in many countries.
