Do any of the learned members of this list have early
(pre-1400) illustrations of St. Erasmus having his intestines
wound out by a windlass? (or, for that matter, pictures of
him with something that is clearly a windlass, and not an
anchor). written versions of the windlass - execution would
also be welcome, as indeed would parallel motifs from
secular literature.
thanks in advance,
