Dear Carlos,
The paintings at Houghton on the Hill, Norfolk are believed to be
c.1090. They seem to show a Last Judgement over the chancel arch,
but focussed on a Gnadenstuhl type depiction of the Holy Trinity
(this is very unusual). There is also the suggestion that they
retain some 'Anglo-Saxon' iconographic details.
David Park is my supervisor. Since he is not on the list I will try
to find out whether there is anything much in print and send it to
you. Failing that I have a current guide booklet for the church at
home, which I kind friend let me have.
Sadly I have not yet seen them myself, although I have seen some
photographs.
With Best Wishes
Miriam
