jointly organised by the Small Area Health Statistics Unit (SAHSU), based in
the Department of Epidemiology and Public Health at Imperial College, and
the Royal Statistical Society.
CALL FOR PAPERS
This international conference will be a comprehensive exploration of
state-of-the-art methods and applications in this rapidly developing area.
The speakers and discussants are leading experts in the field. The meeting
will be of interest to statisticians, demographers, geographers, pollution
modellers, public health practitioners and environmental scientists with an
interest in spatial epidemiology and statistics.
Invited speakers and discussants include: Dr. F. Alexander, Professor J.
Besag, Dr. J. Cuzick, Professor P. Diggle, Mr. G. Jacquez, Professor M.
Kulldorf, Dr. A. Lawson, Professor R. Neutra, Dr. S. Richardson and
Professor K. Rothman.
Those wishing to contribute a paper for oral or poster presentation should
submit an abstract on one side of A4 paper to arrive by May 31st 1999. The
abstract must include: title, authors affiliation and address for
correspondence.
A special issue of the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series A,
will contain a number of papers from the meeting. Papers will be subject to
the usual refereeing procedure of the journal.
