* Felix II (III), pope (492)
- this ancestor of Gregory the Great really was Felix II,
but was often noted in martyrologies as Felix III following
the confusion created by the previous existance of an
antipope named Felix II
* Albinus or Aubin, bishop (c. 550)
- much beloved bishop of Angers, he preached daily,
ransomed slaves and was much admired by king Childebert
* David or Dewi, bishop in Mynyw (589?)
- patron of Wales, represented in art as standing on a
mound with a dove on his shoulder, in allusion to a legend
that once while preaching a dove descended next to his ear,
and the earth beneath his feet rose up to form a hill so
that David could be better heard
* Swithbert, bishop (713)
- helped evangelize southern Holland and northern Brabant
* Rudesind or Rosendo, bishop of Dumium (977)
- appointed bishop at age of eighteen, in the absence of
king Sancho he led an army against invading Northmen; later
forced from his see, he lived as a monk and abbot
* Roger le Fort, archbishop (1367)
- acclaimed as bishop of Orleans against his will, he
became archbishop of Bourges, where he instituted the feast
of the Conception of Mary

- a blacksmith and Franciscan tertiary, he lived and died
in the village of Lugo, fourteen miles west of Ravenna;
there, he was noted for his simplicity and his many
miracles
