Dear Rachel,
I saw your response to Maria re: Newbury Hospital. I have another
interest. I just started a seventeen weeks Return to Midwifery
Practice Module. I wish to know if you will be interested in some of
our students having some clinical experience with your "stand alone"
midwifery led unit? I will be grateful if this is possible.
They have one school block week of theoretical input (Monday to
Friday). This is then followed by 4 days supervised clinical
experience and a day of either Rflection in the University, Self
directed theory or practice. Two more block weeks are spread in the
Course Programme towards the end.
They are expected to start from the begining to compile their own
portfolios, prepare for critical incident analysis or client profile
presentation, some time in the programme. They will also have
clinical summative assessment with viva-voce by the end of the
Module.
I look foward to your response
Cheers,
