I hope someone can help me answer these questions which clients posed and
point me to a resource for similar questions.
1) A 36 year old client pregnant with her third child complains of intense
labial swelling and pelvic congestion after intercourse which lasts for as
much as a day. She has varicose veins, but nothing serious. She says this
congestion occurs in spite of orgasm. Any suggestions? She's already tried
ice, heat, positioning.
2) A 32 year old client pregnant for the second time who complains that
since the birth of her first child 2 years ago, her entire crotch is numb
after intercourse for hours. This has been ongoing and occurred before the
pregnancy. She had a small tear after the birth of the first child, but did
not need stitches and it healed well. There is no pain involved, just
numbness. I asked her if this happened if there was no intercourse, but she
said there is always penetration. Suggestions?
3) Finally, a 19 year old mother of two who cannot have an orgasm with
intercourse, but only with a vibrator. Her husband feels bad and she does
too. Is there a book I can refer them to or some suggestions for learning
how to achieve an orgasm without the vibrator?
What a week--I felt like Dr. Ruth but lacked the answers! Thank you in
advance for any suggestions.
