I think another possibility to find some interesting things on
screenplay writing for documentaries would be to get in contact with
some TV stations or channels. Most of the good established and serious
Tv stations (especially the few left public ones, for example BBC)
must or do have their own libraries and archives where always some
books on screenplay writing-practice or parts of treatments can be
found.
Usually they need all this material for their internal education
courses of their own 'rookies'. So I think 'extern' people could also
gather some help from those institutions. On the other hand, this
could help to build relations with people who already work in this
field. You also might have the chance to learn about know-hows which
you can't find in books.
Good luck!
