It needs an h after the psyc
If anyone wants a simple EXCEL spreadsheet for sample number
calculations, they could download one from among the course
material I use for our MSc in Applied Statistics. It only
does large sample approximations - and doesn't worry about
things like what degrees of freedom you should use - but
I have always found this irrelevant in real problems, where
the info for sample size calculations are usually pretty
vague, and almost always too optimistic. I recommend to my
students that a fudge factor of at least 1.2 is a good idea
in the real world.
The spread sheet can be found from my home page
http://www.maths.napier.ac.uk/~gillianr/
Under the course material for statistical theory and inference. I
think it was about Week 12 of the course.
