Does anyone have an assay for blood levels of 'Pentaspan' (aka pentastarch,
hydroxyethyl starch)? This is a one-off request from our renal department
who have a patient who has run into renal problems after administration of
this plasma expander. There's nothing recent in Medline: just a mention of
a GC-MS method from 1984, a GC method from 1983 and a radial immunodiffusion
method from 1980.
