To date I have received 41 replies to my my questionnaire on accuracy and
sensitivity. To those who have replied (which includes a number of
respondents from the US and other countries), I'd like again to express my
sincere thanks. The replies are extremely helpful and revealing, and will
greatly assist in my attempt to persuade our masters to define a
terminology for use in the field of microanalysis that encompasses valid,
consistent and unambiguous concepts.
A few replies are still trickling in, so I shall delay sending an analysis
and commentary to respondents until the trickle has dried up, which I
anticipate will occur before the end of this week. (Note: the analysis and
comments will be sent individually to respondents to ensure that their
names remain known only to myself. I assume that readers of the ACB
mailbase who have not responded are not interested in this issue; I will
therefore confine any further communications relating to it to those who
have kindly replied to the questionnaire.)
