Research Associate in Health Services Research
We are seeking an enthusiastic Research Associate to contribute to a
project funded by the Leverhulme Trust on the of the management of
patients with intestinal failure. The postholder will work on a
systematic literature review of some aspects of the management of this
condition, in collaboration with Professor Sir Miles Irvine at the
Departments of Surgery at the Universities of Newcastle and Manchester
(Hope Hospital, Salford).
The post will be based in Newcastle and requires a researcher with the
methodological and quantitative skills to conduct a systematic review,
is a careful and systematic worker and has excellent written
communication skills.. Ideally s/he will be educated to MSc level or
higher in health services research, clinical epidemiology or a related
subject. Previous experience of conducting a review is advantageous
though not essential as training can be provided.
The post will be full-time for one year and is available immediately.
Salary will be within the range £15735 - £18275 on the scales for
research staff.
