Dear Ingegard
Insofar as the questions you posed on the Holy Wells and Spas List recently,
which I read with interest, were concerned with issues of Christianisation, and
not presuming to anticipate the advice of our beloved Listowners, I should go
ahead and repeat your questions here. I'll lay a pound to a penny you get a
useful response.
You could trawl the scores of Lists serviced by Mailbase but one whose archives
I looked up today has had only three messages posted in the last 12 months.
Similarly you could try the American Lists maintained by H-Net, though I'm not
aware of one that would meet your specific needs. The one anthropological List
is chiefly concerned with modern and early modern Europe.
ANSAX and ANTIQ-L members would be interested in your questions, certainly, but
I'd still go ahead and ask them here. There's a great and generous spirit among
our members, as well as a wider range of interests than might appear.
Best wishes
Graham Jones
