Workshop in Evidence Based Nursing 22nd - 26th February 1999
The Centre for Evidence Based Nursing at the University of York is
offering a workshop to nurses who wish to teach or undertake evidence
based practice.
The residential course (5 days) will run from the 22nd to the 26th
February, in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
There will be a combination of plenary sessions and small workshops in
which the delegates will work through
· evidence based nursing - what it is and what it isn't
· asking answerable questions
· finding the evidence
· appraising research
· statistics
· the contribution of qualitative research to evidence based health
care.
There will be an opportunity to work on questions developed in your own
area of interest using information resources provided, e.g. paper based
journals and electronic databases. In addition, delegates will receive
resource packs including teaching materials to use after the course.
Speakers will include Trevor Sheldon and Nicky Cullum.
