We are planning to use BIPAP in A&E, principally for appropriate COAD
patients. I know Ian Stell has been looking into this at Kings but I would
be interested to hear comments from any list members that have been using it
in emergency departments and whether there are any unique problems to using
it in that environment. For instance, we just realised our machine does'nt
have a battery pack so when it comes to transfer there may be a few very
blue patients arriving on the medical wards which are remote from A&E.
