I've lost track of the latest price charged by the American Bible
Society (it went quite high for a year, then dropped again when
people complained), but the nearest thing to a standard critical
manual edition of the (pre-Clementine) Vulgate is still the Weber
& Fischer, et al., GBS edition available in the U.S. from the
American Bible society, Biblia Sacra iuxta vulgatam versionem, 4th
rev.ed., 1994. Hardcover. 1,980 p. (5 1/2" x 7 1/2"). It used
to cost about $45 or so. "When ordering, please refer to the reference
number: 8DACAAQAN. To order, please call 1-800-32-Bibl." Outside the U.S.,
try your local national Bible society. It's a lovely edition.
