We use BD gel tubes routinely with Immuno 1assays and previously with Amerlite
immunoassays and have not found interference. We investigated whether leaving serum on
the gel caused interference with Amerlite TSH, FT4 assays and did not find any after 7 days.
However freezing the serum and gel causes gel disruption and assay interference.
