APOLOGIES FOR CROSS POSTINGS
Dear Colleagues,
Many apologies if you have found an attachment called TRASH.DOC attached
to the end of any messages I have sent to the list recently.
I have not sent this attachment nor was I was unaware that this was
happening. I do remember something arriving in the mail several months
ago called "trash" which I opened and deleted.
All I can assume is that by opening it this has somehow allowed some
kind of virus to activate which then attaches the message to the end of
all outgoing mailings.
The attachments are not copied to the sent mail box so unless someone
alerts you do not know this is happening.
Our technical staff are looking into this at present but if colleagues
out there have dealt with this before perhaps they could tell us how.
In the meantime I can only suggest if people received details of the
ALISS conference from me last week and it appears to have an attachment
please do not open it just delete it. Similarly with this message.
Many apologies
Steve Lee
