There is now a full English version of Philippe MARQUIS' "QUALCONT" QC
programme available from his website : http://perso.easynet.fr/~philimar
Please note that it is a 32 bit programme, so it is not suitable for
Windows 3.1
There are still a few French instructions in the WinZip self-extraction
dialogue, but these are easy to understand, and they will be in English
eventually. The size of the compressed file is only 245 Kb, so the
download does not take long. The decompressed files take up only 560 Kb of
disk space.
QUALCONT is a programme designed for internal quality control of manual
analytical techniques in clinical laboratories.
The number of analytes is unlimited, and each one is provided with up to
three control levels. The three levels are validated simultaneously after
display within coloured graphics (green, orange, red) which represent the
control ranges of acceptable, warning and rejection.
Rejected control points, however, remain displayed and individually flagged
on the screen and in the tables, but they are excluded from the statistical
calculations.
Comments can be added to control results.
Whenever the lot number of a control material changes, the statistical data
of the previous batch are archived and the control chart is restarted.
Modification or deletion of outliers can be password-protected so it may be
restricted to senior laboratory staff if desired .
The data file is backed-up from time to time on a diskette at a
pre-definable interval. A reminder is provided when the programme is
started if the backup interval has been exceeded.
At the end of each day, all of that days control results can be displayed
and printed. Thus daily viewing of the control performance is available in
each section of the laboratory where the software is in use.
