| My name is Maaike van der Lugt
| i'm currently writing my Phd at the University of Utrecht (the Netherlands)
| on the scolastic theory of extraordinary generation (Incubus, conception of
| Christ, spontaneous generation). I'm particularly interested in the history
| of life sciences in its relations with theology.
Dear Maaike (if I may):
I would be very intersted in what you would make of Robert
Grosseteste. Gerald of Wales reports that Grosseteste, before coming
to theology was trained as a doctor (medicus). And, while much has
been made about Grosseteste's knowledge of physics and cosmology, I
don't think anyone has really examined the role of the life sciences
in his theology.
Cheers
Jim
