This is the approach I was just writing up :) We'll have to define '('
and ')' in our attribute registry as reserved characters, but other
than this, this seems like a logical conclusion for incorporating this
information in HTML 2.0 without breaking either the DTD for META or
the NAME constraint. I still think a patron is needed for pushing the
SCHEME/TYPE values in the META DTD, but I'm more concerned with useful
consensus, implementation and deployment.
I hate name-space overloads, but bingo.. let's go with it. You've got
my vote :)
