Dear Carlos,
Our man from Utrecht has done some homework and these are the results. The
Index of Christian Art forms part of the `bijzondere collectie' (rare and
special items) of the library of the faculty of Arts. Normally this part of
the library is open to the public mon-fri 9.00 - 17.00. There is in the
library a guide or a leaflet in English with instructions how to use the
Index. Alas for you, the situation is different in july and august. Due to
the holidays of staff and students, the openining-hours of the `bijzondere
collectie' will be reduced from 8 july till 16th of august to: mo - fri 9.00
- 13.00. Still worse, they are planning to move part of the musical
collection and sundry implements; so during this period - and they can't
tell me when exactly this will take place - the whole collection will be
closed for a couple of days.
It will be wise for you to contact the staff if you are planning to visit
Utrecht during this time. The informationdesk of the library can be
contacted by phone: +31 30 2536343. The desk of the `bijzondere collectie':
+31 30 2536273.
E-mail: [log in to unmask] and the e-mail adress of the woman who is
normally on charge there: [log in to unmask]
If there is anything more which I can do, just let me know.
