I am not sure about the precise meaning of "the construction in the mind of
a kind of ideal cloister", but maybe Pseudo-Hugo of St. Victor (Hugo de
Folieto, m. 1174), _De claustro animae_, PL 176,1017-1182, will be of
interest for you.
