Thanks to all those who replied to my cry for help regarding
Middle English Fonts. Listed below is information forwarded to me
privately but may be of use to others on the list;

Juris G. Lidaka (who kindly pointed out that I hadn't bothered to reveal
either the computer or the software I am using, please accept my
apologies, I am a Mac user with Word 5.1) explains that Word 7.0 has
yoghs available from Win 95 and that word Perfect 5.1, 6.0 and 6.1 has
thorns, eths and aeshes available for IBM.
Hilary Carey wrote that a font has been created to cover most/all Middle
English characters at:
Archtype Publishing
PO Box 1124L
Hobart, Tasmania 7001
Fax: (0011 61)002 312323
I have as yet been unsuccessful in actually getting a font on to my
machine but I am looking into all the avenues generously forwarded. I
must also say that I now (like many others on the list I'm sure) suffer
Beneventan Script envy - lucky you George!
