Linda Olson asks:
Did I miss this -- for years, I have thought that March 30 is also
the feast-day of Joachim of Fiore. Not so?
Answer: So!
I out-smarted myself in this matter. (I do this every five seconds or so!)
I was using the entries in the Acta Sanctorum a while back, and noted that
their entries began with a note saying that they considered Joachim's
feast should properly be celebrated on 19 May (a very important day for my
own personal research). Consequently, I made a note to list Joachim for
that day. After Linda's message, I went back to the AA.SS., and after
double-checking the 30 March entry, I went to the 19 May entry; there, I
found a note saying (in essence) that they were wrong, and should have
assigned the feast to 30 March after all!
Thanks very much for raising this point, Linda!
