Dear colleagues,
How many labs are looking to implement the 0/1h cardiac hs-troponin protocol in their Emergency Departments? For those using the Beckman Coulter platform, the APACE study (paper by Boedddinghaus et al, Clinical Chemistry 2019) appears to support this protocol. The advantage of meeting the Emergency Department targets are obvious. However, my concern is the logistics in turning around samples consistently to meet the 1h time frame and IT limitations. I would be very interested to hear from others who have or are looking to implement this. Perhaps we could exchange ideas for the benefit of all members. Have a good weekend all.
Best wishes,
Dr R Sodi
