Hi,
We are currently reviewing the requirements we make for Young People to join the library so it would be helpful to get an idea of what other authorities are doing. It would be really helpful if you could let me know in particular;
At what age do you allow Young People to join the library without an adults permission.
Do you require them to have a guarantor?
Do you require ID from them? If so what ID from under 18's do you require?
Do they have full access to all services, such as computer access? At what age and with what restrictions if any?
If you allow minors access to computers without an adults permission how do you handle potential safeguarding issues?
Do you limit the number of items they can take out differently to an adult membership?
Many thanks in anticipation of your help,
Leon Flower
