Jack,
Thank you very much for directing me to your dissertation. It is a very impressive, thorough and creative work that I will need time to study.
I have only just reconnected with ideas that you have studied, articulated, and applied so well. I look forward to delving into what you have written.
My dissertation written many years ago is still guiding my thoughts concerning design thinking and my efforts to find bridges to how the mind works in creative, practical ways. My papers at independent.academia.edu/charlesburnette <http://independent.academia.edu/charlesburnette> especially Issues Assumptions and Components…, the MID graduate curriculum ... and the website, idesignthinking.com <http://idesignthinking.com/>, suggest some ideas in A Theory of Design Thinking, the framework I work through that is now turning to the issues you have researched and applied so well. I too am delighted to see the design world turn toward processes that are humanistic, and artful as well as practical and personal.
Please keep me posted on your work. From now on I will be sure to reference it.
Thank you again,
Chuck
