Feel like a slug!! Just stayed up all night and am just now getting to read a note with Good News in the subject heading. If it is not too much trouble, can someone quick-catch me up?

Thanks Barry. Good to have the context, so amply illustrated by Jill here.
I came late to the project, introduced by the late Max Richards, my former
honours year poetry lecturer and tutor at Latrobe University in Melbourne.
He encouraged me to contribute but I was largely unaware of the 'snappish'
aspects or directives. I took it simply as a discipline to knock something
out each week but of course I have become aware that poems by the likes of
Andrew, Patrick, Doug, Jill, Millicent etc have an open-eyed ruminativeness
about them. Sometimes I try to join the observation fray; at other times I
reach for memories as impetus or just fiddle with words and lines, with a
view to questioning or arranging ideas in distinctive ways.
Maybe there could be some sort of 'editorial guideline' on the site? Maybe
there is already. I haven't looked. I just read the poems and usually find
something to like in them.
