Hi all,
I hope you're well. I just wanted to let you all know that our film Generation Revolution is now available for your university to purchase.
Generation Revolution tells the stories of London’s new generation of black and brown activists. It is a rare document of Black British life in the 21st Century and an even rarer exploration of the grassroots politics engaged in by our society’s most marginalised. The film speaks to the zeitgeist of increased awareness and mobilisation around issues of race, class and gender - especially police brutality.
The film was selected for Sheffield Doc/Fest and the East End Film Festival amongst others and won an Audience Award at the Baltimore Black International Film Festival.
Generation Revolution is a potent educational tool as it provides educators with strong material to supplement their teaching of contemporary issues in:
The African Diaspora
Politics
Sociology
Women’s Studies
Black Studies
Race & Ethnicity
British Film
Molefi Kete Asante (Professor of African American Studies, Temple University) said "Generation Revolution is a stunning portrayal of the struggle for human rights. It is sure to become a major teaching tool in the hands of those who support social justice."
Dr Cassie Earl (Co-Director of the Centre for Knowledge, Culture and Society, University of Bristol) said "Generation Revolution is a valuable resource for any student or scholar of social movements, politics of change or informal education."
We invite you to our website to watch our trailer (link below). I'm happy to send a link to the full film if you'd like, just let me know.
