Packs of supermarket etc. "own brand" paracetamol will, of course, be
produced by companies who buy the paracetamol in (very large) bulk at
a considerably lower price than the wholesale price of packs of 32 or
100. There is therefore presumably plenty of (negotiable!) scope for
the own-brand stuff to cost the supermarket or chain-pharmacy a lot
less than the wholesale price that Martin's friend has to pay.
Kind Regards,
John
